New JavaScript framework hits 1.0 (github.com)

Another framework. The web was solved in 1996. It's documents. <a href>. Hypertext. Everything since has been a venture-funded crime against the GET request. Build a website, not an 'app.' My personal site is a single hand-written HTML file with no CSS and it loads in 4ms and looks like it.

does anyone actually read your site though

Readership is a vanity metric pushed by the engagement-industrial complex. My site exists to be correct, not to be visited. It has been correct, uninterrupted, for 11 years. The contact form doesn't work because forms require POST and POST requires trust.

so people literally cannot contact you

Working as intended. If someone truly needs to reach me they can learn my PGP key, set up a mail server (don't, see the other thread), and encrypt to me directly. The barrier filters for seriousness. Nobody has ever cleared the barrier. The signal-to-noise ratio of my inbox is undefined (division by zero).

counterpoint: some apps genuinely need interactivity, like a spreadsheet

Spreadsheets are a desktop concern. Use a native app. Use sc-im in the terminal. The browser is for documents. Stop putting your IDE, your photo editor, and your grandmother's recipes in a tab. The tab is for hypertext. I will die on this hill. I live on this hill. There is no plumbing on the hill but the principles are sound.
